About our Speedarner Mending Loom
Discover the joy of mending your own clothes with the Speedarner - a creative repair loom that makes visible mending quicker and simpler than traditional freehand darning.With classic darning you have to concentrate on weaving over and under individual threads, but the Speedarner will do that part of the process for you. By simplifying the weaving process it makes mending more relaxing and enjoyable, especially for beginners.

Inspired by the iconic design of the original 1940’s Speedweve machine, this tiny loom creates neat patches over small holes, stubborn stains, or worn-out spots to revive and transform much-loved garments.

Perfect for visible repairs to everyday garments such as: denim jeans, cotton tees, cashmere jumpers and knitted socks. However, we do not recommend using this tool to repair chunky knitwear, stretchy activewear, outdoor/waterproof gear or similar clothing.

The Speedarner mending loom will help you create a 'patch' darn also known as surface darning - think of it like patching over a hole on a pair of jeans with a scrap of fabric. Your 'patch' darn will be stitched in place on all four sides and will cover the hole by floating over the surface.
